Residing in the southeastern corner of Arizona, Safford is a small city with great potential. Mt. Graham is the prominent landmark in Graham County -- at 10,720 feet elevation and home of the University of Arizona’s Mount Graham International Observatory. The Gila River runs along the valley floor at 2,700 feet elevation. Outdoor recreation prevails in the Gila Valley.
